Members of the MCBA worked with Alabama Beekeeper Association to promote beekeeping at the Morgan County Fair in Decatur Alabama.

Here are some photos taken at the Morgan County Fair. The display was set up on Tuesday, Sept 18, 2007. Gene Zajicek is shown after the display was set up. Friday, Sept 21 2007, was designated Educational Day and members from our MCBA participated by talking with school children explaining honeybees and their place in our agriculture as the students came though the display. An observation hive was included as a part of the display. It was estimated that several hundred school children passed through the display on Friday from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.

MCBA members Gene Zajicek, Public Affairs Director, Don Love and Dale Rohe as well as Lonnie Funderburg, President of the Alabama Beekeepers Association all contributed their time and talents to this important public affairs event.
